Love, a foreign word

Love isn’t a foreign word to everyone. We all have different definitions and beliefs to describe this word, but the problem is that most of us confuse the meaning of this word with desire, lust, possessiveness, and admiration. When in love, the words respect, loyalty, and honesty are always common. There are different types of love that we can experience: requited, unrequited and possessive. There is that kind of love that no matter how much it hurts, we are willing to let the other party be happy. Unrequited love - some of us have suffered so much watching that person love someone else.

Though sometimes it brings a little comfort in our heart that the one we love is happy, it still hurts. We dream, hope, and sometimes fantasize that certain love is for us despite being fully aware that it is never meant for us. Sometimes we tend to chase after the love that is never meant for us while destroying what is for us. Be it an experience or something that we witnessed, only a few believe in real love. Some try to be perfect for their loved ones, which may end up in vain or otherwise. When these efforts prove to be futile over time, the love is painful. And the consequences can be so undesirable.
